Evan Fernandes
Going into my eighth grade year, I could not sing. I was so musically uneducated, my microphone had to be turned off during one of the musical numbers so I didn’t throw off the other singers- I don’t think I even knew what a note was. Joe spent months teaching me vocal technique, breath support, and confidence that would give me the support needed to withstand long rehearsals and still have a healthy, brilliant singing voice by the end of them. He gave me inspiration, determination, and complete courage to be so much more than I ever thought I could be.
I can confidently say that my growth during these past five years has been dependent upon the Santaniello Vocal Studio. I have been taught more musicality in a single lesson with Joe than I have in a year taking choir. He has pushed me to not only reach my limits, but to exceed them. After studying with Joe, I grew more not only as a performer, but also a person. My lessons didn’t only give me the ability to sing, it gave me qualities that would help any person succeed in whatever field they decide upon. Yes, musicality is something that can be taught, but confidence and perseverance are things that can not be learned unless they are instilled in a person through the work of a determined and talented teacher: Joe has successfully given me both.
Words can not describe the admirability I have for the professional work of the Santaniello Vocal Studio. I have made new friendships and connections because of Joe. I have been molded into a singer, an actor, and most importantly, a performer. I highly recommend the Santaniello Vocal Studio to anyone who is looking to become a better entertainer. There is not a doubt in my mind that you will be disappointed with his work. Without the Santaniello Vocal Studio, I may have never found not only my voice, but also who I am. And because of Joe, I continue to shine both on stage, and off.
