Catherine Robinson

I started working with Joe in his Rising Stars Program at Crystal Theatre after not getting cast in my high school musical. Already lacking self confidence, this big rejection my freshman year made me question if singing was something I should be spending my time doing. Now a Junior at Oberlin College-Conservatory as a Vocal Performance major, I can state that I would not be here without the training I received with Joe at Santaniello Vocal Studios.

Joe's heavy emphasis on strong technique and performance skills gave me the tools to get accepted to many top conservatory and music programs across the country. Specifically, the many studios classes offered throughout the year helped to hone my skills as a singer, actor, and musician. When starting my degree program at Oberlin, the faculty commented on my strong technical foundation and my knowledge of appropriate repertoire for my age. Joe is an incredible teacher and mentor, and if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be pursuing music.
