Santaniello Vocal Studios

Private studio specializing in teaching young singers classical and musical theatre voice.

SVS: Specializing in both Classical and Musical Theatre voice

My goal is to equip singers with a stable and well-developed vocal technique that can serve as the foundation for a long-lasting career. It is my belief that finding vocal freedom is the basis of singing regardless of style. We do that with a heightened scientific physical awareness and alignment, a study of versatile repertoire that both strengthens and stretches the student, and learning a strategic approach to problem solving specific technical things when singing and performing.

The best part of teaching voice is watching the development of young singers lead to new discoveries in and outside of the studio setting. I make it an effort to attend as many of my students' outside performances as possible to show my support for their progress and accomplishments. As someone who has directed over 80 stage productions, I am also able to assist students in song interpretation, audition preparation, and the various demands of the singing actor. I believe that public performance is a crucial element to developing young aspiring singers.

Recital Performance

Recitals are an integral part of the development of young singers. There is at least one if not more opportunities within a year where students perform in front of their peers, friends, and family. Recitals are often viewed as a vehicle for students to test out new repertoire and prepare themselves for auditions and other performances, so students tend to sing pieces outside of their comfort zone to foster growth.

Studio classes & Master classes

Studio classes offer masterclass-style training to all studio members. We employ "audition style" studio classes, where the students come ready to perform their repertoire for the studio and receive critiques focusing on performance skills in addition to vocal technique. This is also a time where the student is able to work with a collaborative pianist/coach on a one-on-one basis. Read more...

Our goal as singers is to make an audience laugh and cry in the same evening.
